Astronomy Day 2023 @ Buffalo Audobon Nature Center | North Java | New York | United States
Join members of the Buffalo Astronomical Association for an all day Astronomy themed event. Activities will include Solar Observing (weather permitting), Children’s Activities, presentations, and we will have information to help you prepare for the upcoming Solar Eclipses (Partial Solar October 14, 2023 & Total Solar Eclipse April 8, 2024). We will have Solar Eclipse Glasses available for a $2.00 donation (while supplies last).
We will have the observatory open rain or shine.
We hope to see everyone under clear skies!

Note: If you really want to be prepared for the Eclipses of the Sun we will have Solar Eclipse glasses available for a donation of $2 each

Telescope Clinic – 10am to 4pm – Got Telescope Problems? We have answers – If you have a telescope that you would like help setting up and using, we are here to guide you

Solar viewing – if clear 10am to 4pm – Will be viewing Sunspots on the Sun and views in Hydrogen Alpha where you can see the prominences, filaments, and with any luck a possible solar flare.

If REALLY clear we will also be viewing other stars during the daytime.
